A black belt is considered the “mastery of the basics” and at this point students begin to learn advanced material. Weapons, ground fighting, advanced self defense and kicking, as well as other concepts can only be taught to students that have shown dedication and commitment to their training. At the West Windsor TaeKwonDo & Kickboxing Academy, students who have achieved the rank of Senior Yellow Belt (or higher) are eligible for participation in special weekly classes and occasional clinics to learn skills and concepts that they would normally have to wait years to learn. Black Belt Club material has been broken up into monthly or bi-monthly sessions to give students enough time to grasp the material:
