My son started a Youth Academy camp this week at the local police station. He walked in and the 3 police officers running the camp were standing there with their guns in holsters, looking friendly but intimidating.
One of the officers asked my son what his name was. He looked him in the eye, put out his hand and said “I’m Maddox Chu. What’s yours?” It was awesome. Truly amazing that a 10-year old had the nerve to speak so confidently to an adult, especially a cop. TaeKwonDo and the Leadership Class get full credit for that.
We were really proud of him. Thought you’d like to know that the kids are putting the things they learn in Leadership class to use in the real world.
Thanks for making a difference to these kids!
